About Learning through Landscapes
LTL has 20 years experience creating excellence outdoors for learning and play within schools and early years settings. This experience has shaped government policy from the very first Building Bulletin on The Outdoor Classroom to recent guidance on Learning Outside the Classroom, and Play.
Our goal is to equip key players to realise the full potential of outside spaces for young people in education. Within the capital programmes LTL developed school grounds case studies with CABE, and trained CABE Enablers in supporting design for learning in external areas. With PfS we work to ensure that high-quality external landscapes are integral to programme requirements, and we are currently supporting the development of post-occupancy evaluation tools for schools.
LTL works in partnership with government, local authorities, the private sector and with school communities themselves to improve the use, design and management of school grounds as an integral part of the whole school estate.
