The Hard Landscaping Show and World of Paving is the new specialist show for the hard landscaping industry taking place on the 24th and 25th of March 2010 at the Ricoh Arena in Coventry.
BALI will be sharing the stand F2 with affiliate BALI Member British Recycled Products (www.britishrecycledproducts.co.uk/).
Registration for the show is free please visit www.hardlandscapingshow.co.uk/ for more information.
Landscape Industry Panel Seminar at Show
There will also be a seminar at the show chaired by Magda Ibrahim, Greenspace Editor of Horticultural Week, to discuss how hard landscaping should be balanced with hard landscaping to reflect the increasing concerns in some quarters that hard landscaping is over-specified in certain applications.
The seminar will take place at 2.00pm on the Wednesday of the show.
The Panel consists of:
Paul Cowell – BALI chairman elect
Jason Lock – APL chief executive
Angus Cunningham – Scotscape managing director
Doug Reade – Wyevale Nurseries sales and marketing manager
The Hard Landscaping Show and World of Paving is the new specialist show for the hard landscaping industry taking place on the 24th and 25th of March 2010 at the Ricoh Arena in Coventry.
Pre-registering visitors are impressed with the inaugural show line-up : “We’ve worked hard at making these real events, genuine working shows” says Event Director Steven Callaghan, “of course there will be many different types of paving on display but there will also be drainage of all types with emphasis on SUDS products, specialist gravel retention systems, a wide range of digging and specialist earth moving equipment from Kubota and Avant Tecno, mechanical handling and laying of paving from Probst and Optimas, specialist hand tools, diamond drilling and cutting along with specialist cleaning products such as power washers and a wide range of paving treatments for sealing and anti-stain plus specialist power tools from the likes of Stihl and Makita.
Landscapers, Designers, Architects and Retailers alike will be impressed by the best range of bedding mortars and jointing compounds ever seen at any event in the UK and a live installation masterclass of sett laying that will run throughout the shows will be just one of a number of top class features that will be supported by an extensive range of CPD seminars that will interest visitors from both technical and design backgrounds.
Demonstrations of the latest in machine laying of block paving and mechanised slab handling and laying technology by World market leaders Optimas and Probst will create a lot of interest and, in the adjacent demo area, two more World market leaders, Lafarge and HTC, will be presenting concrete polishing demonstrations with the wide range of fabulous finishes that can be achieved with their Artevia™ decorative concrete technology.
Claudia de Yong’s Artisan Avenue will showcase a selection of the Best of British crafts brought together by this award winning garden designer featuring a wide variety of superb bespoke pieces guaranteed to enhance any hard landscaping project such as hand crafted garden furniture, wrought iron work and hand made lighting.
Because the event is co-located with GE0-10 the specialist geomatics show in Hall 2, visitors will also be able to see all the latest in terrain measuring and mapping technology from a further 30 exhibitors. There is no suggestion that the show is promoting hard over soft landscaping - one of the seminars taking place on day 1 of the show will be a panel discussion chaired by the Greesnpace Editor of Horticulture Week, Magda Ibrahim, where the subject of balancing hard and soft landscaping schemes will be discussed by an eminent panel.
“The soft side of landscaping is given great prominence by the may excellent horticultural shows that take part in the UK every year” adds Steven Callaghan, “ our show is simply giving some exposure to an aspect of the landscaping industry that has been hitherto the bridesmaid but never the bride” he laughs.
