John O'Conner (Grounds Maintenance) Ltd
It’s a Knock-Out’ was the main attraction at the 40 year celebrations of BALI members John O’Conner (Grounds Maintenance) Limited. A family fun day, held in a local sports field near the company’s Welwyn head office, was organised by the company to mark John O’Conner’s momentous achievement.
Over 400 guests attended the event including past employees, customers past and present, major suppliers including JCB, John Deere tractors, Hayters and Ransomes Jacobsen, and existing staff and their families. The event was opened by North Hertfordshire Councillor Lynda Needham - portfolio holder for Waste Recycling and the Environment, who commented “It’s a pleasure to be invited here for what is a fantastic achievement by John and his company.”
In addition to fairground rides, bouncy slides, music and children’s entertainers, guests could take part in an ‘It’s a Knock-Out’ competition, based on the hit TV show from the 70‘s and 80’s. John O’Conner, former BALI National Chairman and current BALI Board Director said: “The It’s a Knock Out team really brought the event to life but for me it was so nice to be able to catch up with everyone that has played their part in helping me and the company over the last 40 years.”
