This workshop gives you an ideal opportunity to learn more about the BALI Designer Assessment procedure, which you will use as a guide during your first three years of membership, and will lead you to Registered Designer Membership.

HOW TO ACHIEVE EXCELLENCE IN CONSTRUCTION – WEDNESDAY 24TH FEBRUARY:
This workshop is for Landscape Contractors and Designers who wish to achieve higher levels of professionalism. The workshop being led by Mark Gregory, will explore the principles of good construction and the latest techniques in the building and specification process.
Three areas of built work will also be covered including:
• Vertical Walls - from foundation, specification and design, to different backing walls and their components, pointing and jointing
• Paving - from sub-base design and considerations to falls and laying methods, pointing systems and drainage solutions
• SUDs made simple and how to apply, designing drainage solutions, how to specify and the options available
The workshop will be delivered in a practical illustrated format and technical handouts will be provided.

VECTORWORKS ADVANCED – WEDNESDAY17TH MARCH:
The Vectorworks Landmark software is the number one tool for landscape and garden design. This workshop will provide you with an in-depth look at some of the more complex subjects.
BALI DESIGNER ASSESSMENT DAY – WEDNESDAY 16TH JUNE:
The Assessment Day is for anyone wishing to achieve Registered Designer Membership status with BALI. You will meet with the Design Panel who will assess your work and ask you to attend a short interview. Places are limited on this course.
SHOW GARDENS – THURSDAY 16TH SEPTEMBER:
Mark Gregory is a multi award winning designer and contractor, through the workshop he will explain his success in building show gardens and will explain the various stages from planning, building and also the judging process. Mark will also explain how to work with the show organisers, the paperwork and Health & Safety documents and procedures. Topics covered will include costs and budgets, construction techniques and planting design and implementation.
Whether you are a designer or contractor considering exhibiting a Show Garden, this is a 'must attend' practical workshop designed to take some of the stress and mystic out of the subject....
