Landscape News, the official BALI journal is packed with features on a wide
range of subjects relevant to the industry. It provides the latest information
on the Association itself, giving overviews of national and regional BALI events,
and allows members to air their news and views.
Produced quarterly, Landscape News has a circulation of 2000 broken down into
the following (approximated):
- 800 copies sent out to BALI members
- 400 to potential BALI members
- 150 sent out to Local Authority Groups and Architects
- 500 given out to Trade & Public at shows
- 150 are sent out to relevant Press, Organisations and Advertising enquiries.
Landscape News offers suppliers of goods and services to the landscape industry, a great opportunity to promote themselves and their products directly to landscape companies and related industry professionals.

Sponsorship Opportunities
BALI has two major events throughout the year which have opportunity for sponsorship, The BALI National Landscape Awards and The WorldSkills UK Landscape Gardening Competition.
BALI National Landscape Awards
Being held on Friday 4th December at The Grosvenor House Hotel London. There are 29 awards covering domestic garden schemes, commercial schemes, hard landscaping, soft landscaping, grounds maintenance, interior projects, lighting, designers, employers and students. The Grand Award is the most coveted award and is presented to the BALI member company whose winning scheme is considered, above all other award winners, to exemplify landscaping excellence and truly outstanding professionalism.
The BALI National Landscape Awards showcases the ‘best of the best’ of the Landscaping Industry - from small domestic to multi million pound contracts, and not forgetting the outstanding achievement of designers, industry employers, interior landscapers, educators and students. This is why the BALI awards are held in such high regard, and are viewed as the awards for the landscaping industry. The 2008 awards received a huge amount of attention from both press and leading industry figures.

WorldSkills UK Landscape Gardening Competition
BALI project manage the landscape gardening competition on behalf of UK Skills, a not for profit organisation who organise 40 different skill based competitions throughout the UK.
The competition gives young landscapers a great opportunity to work under the supervision of highly experienced judges and to build a garden designed by Chelsea Gold Award-winning designer Andy Sturgeon. 2009 venues include Further Education colleges, the RHS Malvern Spring and Autumn Gardening Shows, Gardening Scotland and IOG SALTEX. This Nationwide Landscape Gardening competition feeds into an International competition that is held every 2 years, WorldSkills- the largest skill based competition in the World. In 2011 London hosts WorldSkills, this is a great time to introduce your name/branding to the industry as the supporter of the UK’s top performing young landscapers of tomorrow.
