Phostoxin and Talunex for the control of rabbits, rats and moles requires you to hold a certificate of competence to buy and apply the product. This one day training plus one day assessment will enable you to do so upon achievement.

  • Description

After the 26th November 2015 it became a requirement of the Plant Protection Products (Sustainable Use) Regulations 2012, to hold an approved certificate of training before using products such as Talunex or Phostoxin to control rabbits, rats and moles in their burrows.

Even if you have had previous training with metallic phosphides, unfortunately only the new Level 2 Award will be recognised after this date. For this reason most distributors will ask to see evidence of training to support the drive for better stewardship. Many, in fact, are already doing so.

So if you wish to continue using this product, training and achieving a recognised qualification is the only way forward.
