Code of Conduct

The British Association of Landscape Industries (BALI)

BALI members, in addition to complying with all relevant statutory and regulatory requirements, agree to be bound by the BALI Code of Conduct. This means members will:

  1. Be held responsible for the acts of staff and sub-contractors, where they relate to the running of the business and the scope of the Association;
  2. Only undertake to provide services within that Member's competence, using well trained and supervised staff, and in accordance with both the specification and prevailing best practice;
  3. Have in place adequate insurance cover for all normal risks affecting the client, the public and the Member's employees;
  4. Subscribe to the BALI Dispute Resolution Service and Quality Standards Review procedure. This means that members are subject to scrutiny by their fellow members, clients and the Association and that their continued membership is dependent upon them conducting their businesses in such a way that public and professional confidence in the services provided by BALI Members is enhanced.

The BALI Code of Conduct is there to reassure clients and make our members accountable for their actions.
