Wayne’s role is to effectively manage and develop BALI to be the Trade Association of choice for the nation’s landscape professionals by delivering exceptional business, technical and promotional support for our members.Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, agree and implement the BALI strategic plan to meet the Member’s needs.
- Proactively promote the organisation not only to its members but to the general public and policy makers.
- Plan and direct the organisation’s activities to achieve agreed targets and standards for membership services, financial performance, and legislative compliance.
- Maintain and develop BALI’s reputation in its markets and with members, staff and other stakeholders.
- Report to the board on organisational plans and performance.
Kirsty’s role is to ensure that the strategic and business objectives as well as the values of BALI are put into practice.
Kirsty in conjunction with other members of staff ensures business growth through directing and managing business operations activities to ensure they are delivered in accordance with the strategic objectives. Whilst also making certain all aspects of daily operations of BALI run effectively and efficiently.
Marketing and Communications Manager
Darren is responsible for all marketing and communications products, services and delivery for the Association, including the marketing strategy and plan.
Darren oversees the day-to-day running of the department, delivers the organisations strategic marketing plan and manages strong industry relationships with members and trade press. Working closely with Denise, he delivers BALI's public relations activity, controls and operates BALI's social media platforms and manages all digital and print advertising campaigns nationally. Darren is also the key contact for BALI's presence at industry events and exhibitions.
Personal Assistant to the Chief Executive
Hilary supports the work of the Chief Executive and BALI Board of Directors.
Hilary supports the work of the Chief Executive and BALI Board of Directors. She also provides administrative support to the Operations Manager, Kirsty Wood and the team at Landscape House helping to keep the office running smoothly. In addition she is Secretariat for the Trustees of the BALI Chalk Fund.
Public Relations Manager
Denise provides external support to BALI with her knowledge and experience in PR and Marketing and is the Editor of BALI's quarterly member journal Landscape News.
Denise, owner of Ubiquita Solutions Ltd, provides ongoing PR support to the Association and deals with specialist press and editorial for industry related issues and developments. Denise also contributes to BALI's marketing and communications delivery plan and helps Darren meet BALI's strategic marketing objectives.
Stephen is responsible for managing BALI’s GoLandscape careers initiative, including delivering the GoLandscape strategic plan, establishing business relationships with key stakeholders and industry partners.
Stephens role will also involve promoting the landscape industry as a viable career option to students, parents, teachers and career advisors.
Technical Officer (Policy & Research)
Owen Baker joins the team as Technical Officer (Policy & Research), bringing with him significant industry knowledge gained through extensive studies and his contracting background.
Technical Officer (Quality Assurance)
Richard offers expert technical support and guidance to all BALI members.
He works directly with the Chief Executive to develop an annual technical support plan for members, implement policies for BALI members and Quality Standards Reviews (QSR's) of existing members to ensure that they are keeping up to date with current working practices and legislative requirements as well as upholding the excellent standards that members achieved when they were first approved by BALI. Richard will also work alongside our respected Vetting officers vetting potential new members wanting to achieve the stringent BALI standard. He also writes technical articles for use on the BALI website and in Landscape News and works with other stakeholder groups within the industry on training and technical issues.
Senior Membership Officer
Emily manages BALI's membership team and provides support to all current members whilst managing the membership strategy and core objectives aligned to the BALI business plan.Emily is responsible for processing all membership applications, ensuring benefits match members needs and providing feedback to the staff and Board. Emily also acts as one of the main links with BALI Regional Chairs.
Marketing and Communications Officer
Daisy supports Darren with BALI's marketing activity, working out of Landscape House. Daisy has significant experience with print management and has a degree in marketing and communications.
Carly is responsible for building good relations with existing BALI members ensuring retention.
She contributes to the Association’s annual growth by increasing BALI membership supporting new members through their application process and their first year of membership.
Media Sales and Sponsorship Officer
Diane co-ordinates the advertising and sponsorship of BALI publications and events.

Senior Certification Scheme Officer
Ali administers the ROLO Health & Safety training course and card scheme.
She helps BALI fulfil the Administrator's role for National Highways Sector Scheme 18 and LISS/CSCS. Contact Ali for ROLO, NHSS 18, LISS/CSCSC or any other quality or training matters.
Certification Scheme Officer
Meghana, alongside Ali, is responsible for all aspects of Training and Quality Assurance.
Meg oversees ROLO (Register of Landbased Operatives), LISS/CSCS (Landbased Industry Skills Scheme/Construction Skills Certification Scheme) and NHSS18.
Jaswinder runs the BALI accounts function on a day-to-day basis, working closely with BALI Treasurer, Richard Stone.
She maintains accurate and detailed management accounts, coordinating and maintaining a cash forecasting system to ensure that adequate funds are available to meet the working requirements of BALI.
Jayne supports Emily is BALI's membership team, providing support to all members in ensuring members needs are met. Jayne joins BALI with extensive experience in membership administration and customer service
